    Wael Abbas wins an international award for the press

    Egyptian blogger Wael Abbas won the Knight award given by the international centre for journalists to individuals who developed the media standards in their countries.

    Wael is the first blogger to win this award for the significant role his blog El-wai El Masr( Egyptian consciousness) http://misrdigital.blogspirit.com/ played in covering stories abandoned by the Egyptian media in addition to the element of immediacy his blog maintains which drew thousands of visitors.

    The international centre for journalists will give Wael the award during its tenth annual dinner which will be held on 13th Nov 2007 at Ronald Regan international commercial centre in Washington
