Total amnesty for the political prisoners in Mauritania
4/9/2005 The president of the Military council for justice and democracy in Mauritania Ali weld Mohammed fal - who took over power last august after the previous president Moaweia weld Sidi Ahmed Al-Taie- declared total amnesty for the convicted Mauritanians in political crimes. Fal said ,in his first public speech since seizing authority, to the Mauritanian people ;" we decided to give total amnesty or all Mauritanians convicted to political charges or crimes, this decision had been took to allow them to participate in the process of building the county freely." |
