Kuwait: for the first time, a woman the Government

"Masouma Mubarak", is the first lady in the Kuwait history to participate in the Government.
She has the position of the Minister of Planning Affairs and Administrative Development.
Dr. Masouma is a Political Science Professor in the University of Kuwait.
The Election of Ms.
Mubarak is considered a practical implementation of the political rights for women in Kuwait.
It comes after one week of electing two women in the local council of the Capital of Kuwait and also after one month of the amendment of the elections law giving women the right to vote and candidate
