Syria : "Horiat" a new center for defending journalists' and press freedom.

A new Center has been instituted in Syria to defend press freedoms named" Horiat" or freedoms .

the new center is formed by a group of journalists and human rights activists.

The institutors held a meeting and elected a board headed by the writer and political critic Michel Kilo and the cartoonist Ali Farzat was chosen to be the honour chief .

The first activity this center called for is moving towards amending the publications law in Syria which is a big obstacle in front of the press and Syrian journalists.

The published articles reflect the author's opinion, either individual or organization, it does not necessarily present the Network's opinion
