Usama EL Menawar is innocent

After being abolished for one year from practicing law, On Sunday the 19th of December 2004, The Kuwaiti Judges declared that Kuwaiti Lawyer Usama EL- Munawar is innocent,
The Kuwaiti authorities had been conducting a series of harassments to the Well-known human Rights activist, Lawyer Usama El Munawar, who is known by his dedication to the Torture victims and Arbitrary imprisonment cases in Kuwait.
It all started when the General Prosecution and Security Services officially summoned him, terrorized him in order to stay away from adopting any more political cases. And when they failed, they searched for new reasons to deprive him from his job for a whole year.
On the 12th of September, 2004 the General Prosecution ordered to arrest and interrogate Mr.Munawar, and then he was handed to the National Security authority. Same day, he was accused of " prejudicing Kuwait's National welfare, Shaking Kuwait's financial Position by his media False statement."
