HRINFO got Essa's investigation documents
And says it's all a set-up
Cairo, 10 Sept, 2007
HRINFO decided today to run on its website the text of Ibrahim Essa Al-Dostur boss's investigation conducted by the deputy of state security, case no 1034/2007.
The investigation took place last Wednesday 5th Sept after two complaints filed against Essa, one complaint from an officer in the deputy of state security the other came from a lawyer seeking media attention.
"We will run the texts to make it clear to the public and the press how the investigation was conducted in an already fabricated case which included false accusations. The deputy of state security showed bias in favor of the security services and against the right to free information which is a constitutional right, granted to the people "HRINFO said.
Despite the fact that Essa's answers were quite conclusive to end the investigation and close the case as there was no violation committed by Essa or his newspaper, his legal defense team said so, among them a lawyer from HRINFO which decided to put the text of the investigation on its website as an educational material as part of the program HRINFO provides to journalists participating in its training courts to gain the expertise on how to deal with similar cases in which the deputy of state seeks to make with an indictment while fluctuating between its authority and the plaintiff's desire.
