    Former MP and the head of the National Jordanian Movement Ahad Awaidy Abady was detained on May 2nd 2007 and will stand trail on October 4th for publishing a letter sent to Senator Harry Ried and contains allegations of corruptions against the minister of interiors Eid Alfayez.

    Tunisia

    Civil society
    The Secretary General of the Progressive Democratic Party, Mia Al-Gariby and the foreign and political affairs commissioner, Naguieb Al-Shabey went on strike since September 20, protesting the legal persecution aiming to evacuate the main premises of the party; security forces denies as usual aljazeera's Lotfy Hajy access to the building to cover the strike.

    A senior Police official, Abdelaziz Mabrouky, stopped Omar Kwaidar a member in the Tunisian association for Human Rights from entering the airport.

    Authorities refused to let the members of the International Society for Political Prisoners to convene and launched barricades around the members' houses.

    Human Rights
    The violations of human rights inflicted upon the Kurdish people in Syria and the arrest of Journalist Atta Farahat two months ago have dominated the Syrian scene this week.

    Human rights organizations raised concerns about the Syrian authorities' denial of Mr.Nasser Ghazaly the head of Damascus Centre for Theoretical Studies and Civil Rights who is carrying a Swedish Passport his right to travel to Sweden after staying in Syria for a month and a half working on a report about Iraqi refugees in Syria.

    It has been 45 years since 275 thousand Syrian Kurds were stripped out of their nationalities on October 5th 1962 due to an unfair exptional consensus .the Syrian president made promises to put an end to their problem yet they are still unable to enjoy their civil rights, they don't have the right to own estate property or taking up professions such as medical or legal professions, nor they have the right to travel abroad.

    Refugees
    Amnesty International issued a report under the title" Iraq: violations against the rights of the Palestinian refugees", the organization believes that the Palestinian refugees living in Iraq are the unknown victims of the war on Iraq as they face threats and live amid horrible conditions in refugees camps as AlWalid camp next to the Syrian border. The report highlights the violations against human rights committed against the Palestinians living in Iraq; it also highlights the Iraqi government and the multinational forces' failure to protect them.

    The Israeli army shot fire against Palestinians waiting to welcome their relative prisoners close Beit Hanoun check point in Northern Gaza, Reuters'' photographer Mohammed Gadallah was shot in his leg. On other account , members of the executive force( Hamas) shot fires inside Abo Yosf Najar Hospital and assaulting workers, doctors and nurses and wreaking havoc among the patients especially children , Mousa Hussien 23 years old was injured.

    AlDostur's editor in chief, Ibrahim Essa, is standing trail for publicizing rumors , the number of cases against Essa is nine right now.
    After the Egyptian government shut down the Centre for Union Services, Helwan criminal court passed a verdict sentencing human rights activist Kamal Abbas, the general coordinator of the centre for committing libel against Mohammed Mostafa, a member in the ruling party after an essay published in ( Kalam Sanya) which is a periodical the centre published.

    Repression
    The Moroccan government subdued with violence many protests against soaring prices of basic materials as oil, flour and fuel which led to a number of protests. The city of Safro saw violent scenes on September 23rd with injuries on both sides. A number of human rights activists were detained during that time.

    Electronic Media and Human Rights
    The Arabic Network for Human Rights confirmed today that the Internet in the Arab world hasn't become one of the effective tools in serving human rights issues. Human rights issues are still a matter for news coverage not a frame of reference for the Arab electronic media, human rights organizations failed to use most of the capabilities the Internet provide.

    The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information issued a study on October 3rd discussing human rights issues and the discourse of Arab media outlets on the internet and how human rights organizations benefited from the capabilities the Internet provide. The study titled" the electronic media and human rights"

    The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information concludes its 8th training course for journalists and activists

    The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information concluded on September 26 its 8th training course for journalist and activists on how to use the internet .the training course was held on six sessions, the setbacks facing the press in Egypt and the imprisonment of journalists cast their shadows on the sessions.

    The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information followed the lawsuit filed by Judge Abdelfattah Murad against a number of ministers and governmental bodies to ban 51 sites (human rights, news and bloggers) from the internet in order to conceal the plagiarism he committed against the intellectual property of a report issued by the Arabic Network for Human Rights Information about the freedom of the internet in the Arab World, the court decided to adjourn the case to October 20.
