    Bahrain

    Torture
    Torture crimes have physically and psychologically chronic effect on the victim to the point of permanent disability which the society incur its expenses.
    The case of 28 years old Muhammed Yehia who is suffering from a number of injuries after he was tortured in prison between 1994 to 1999.The Bahrain Youth Society called upon the Bahraini government to pay for his rehabilitation and to revoke decree no "56" which absolves security members, who own a black record of human rights violations in the history of Bahrain, from any legal responsibility violated before that time.

    Saudi Arabia

    Sectarian Problems and Arrests
    The Saudi authority still exercise discrimination against the Shite and what's more is that it stirs sectarian hatred among its citizens as it launched a campaign of religious advisory opinions aiming to provoke violence against the Shiite. Most of the religious sermons delivered in mosques incite hatred against the Shiite. Authorities in Ehsa town stopped the prayers services in a mosque for Shiite as they also keep on arresting activists who promote the culture of civil society in general leading 135 men and women to call upon the Saudi authorities to free imprisoned reform advocates.

    Syria
    ========
    Torture and Arrests
    Security services in El-Derbasya stormed into a store belonging to Jeewan Amin, a member of the Kurdish Organization for Human Rights' media office and arrested him for 3 hours where he was beaten and mistreated and faced threats to deter him from participating in the electronic website that belongs to the organization.

    Shayesh Ali El-Tayar still suffering from torture in the notorious Palestine department after he came back from Iraq in the awake of the American invasion, despite the promises made by the Syrian authorities not to arrest Syrians who are coming back from Iraq.

    Palestine
    ========
    Sabra and Shatila,the 25th anniversary.
    During the civil war in Lebanon and on 1982 the Israeli army concerted a massacre against Palestinians living in Sabra and Shatila refugee camp where 3000 Palestinians lost their lives.
    The Israeli army still until this day work on violating the Geneva Convention treaty and kill Palestinians, humiliating them at check-points and continue on stealing and robbing Palestinians' land and property, while on the other hand Fatah and Hamas are engulfed by their infighting. Katayeb Al-Kassam arrest,detain and torture individuals while neglecting the dire economic situation, palastinians in Gaza are going through.

    Egypt

    Freedom of Expression
    The attack on the freedom of expression has escalated with pro- government newspapers and journalists beating on their drums for more repressive measures.
    Their efforts were heralded on 13 September 2007with a verdict issued by Agooza criminal court sentencing four editors in chief with one year in prison and a 20,000 pound fine for defaming the symbols of the ruling party.
    The four bosses are Ibrahim Essa from Al-Dostur, Adel Hamoud Alfajr, Wael Ebrashy Sout Umma, Abdel Halim Kandeel Alkarama.
    The Association for Human Rights and Legal Aid during the same week, saw its shutting-down operation. amid protests held by civil organizations.
    By the end of the week a sheikh called Yousef El-Badry filed a law suit against the Arabic Network for Human Rights Information ( HRINFO) in retaliation to the support it showed for the poet Hegazy who was victimized by a lawsuit filed by this person.

    Journalist Mostafa Hormat Allah was sentenced to 7 months in jail by the court of appeals in Casablanca for publishing in the weekly" Alwatan Alan"
    military documents addressing the national security anti-terrorism code issued by the government.

    HRINFO was astounded this week by a defamation lawsuit filed by a sheikh called El-Badry in retaliation for the support HRINFO showed against poet Hegazy, El-Badry is asking for one million pound as part of a new series of repressing freedom of speech in Egypt.
