El-Karmel Institution, the free voice is launched on the World Press Freedom Day
On the occasion of the World Press Freedom Day, 3rd May, El-Karmel Institution Declares Launching its activities based on its belief in Freedom to opinion and expression, and freedom to access knowledge and produce it. El-Kaemel believes that it is necessary now to create a new vision for independent alternative media and making information available to every person, to all those who are interested in freedom of expression and eliminating all boundaries confronting free thinking as a base that support individual and social development.
El-Karmel also believes that free independent media in all its different forms is a civil tool reflects public opinion trends in different securities with no boundaries or limits. It is also urgent to create new complete independent media that can be a different alternative to the official media and use the multi media technologies to transform information and knowledge among people and independent civil institutions. Thus El-Karmel Media works in parallel directions on all the mentioned points.
The Egyptian\Palestinian Group “El-Karmel” was formed as a response to the amazing electronic technologies developments that changed the traditional concept of state control on creating knowledge and information. This development minimized the abilities of ruling systems to impose its censorship on new independent media or ban it.
