Beirut Won't Cry
Culture Resource will be organizing a benefit concert for Lebanon, in collaboration with the Lebanese embassy in Cairo, ELBA, the Cairo Opera House and Incognito for Music Production, on Tuesday 29 August at the Main Hall, Cairo Opera House. All revenue will go to the Higher Relief Commission of the Lebanese Cabinet, via the Lebanese embassy. The title of the concert , Beirut Won't Cry, is borrowed from the illustration by the young Lebanese artist Mazen Kerbaj, used for all concert publicity. It signals Lebanon's ability to reconstruct itself and revitalize its energy after the destruction left by the Israeli aggression. The concert will feature appearances by some of the most popular Egyptian film starts, including Ahmed El Sakka, Menna Shalaby, Basma and Khaled Saleh. It will start by a song prelude by the Upper Egypt Choir dedicated to the Lebanese children. The main music items are three of the most important, and popular, Lebanese groups/singers from the alternative scene: Samy Hawwat who is very well known for his political songs, The young singer and composer Tania Saleh, and the Diva of sufi singing Jahida Wehbe. We hope that you will support this effort by purchasing as many tickets as possible. It is an easy and enjoyable way to support relief and reconstruction work in Lebanon! The ticket prices are: LE 300, 200, 100, 50 and 25. To purchase tickets please call: Cairo 3625057 - 3626748 - 0101505903 - 0103372038 Many thanks Culture Resource |
